The SMBC’s Capital Markets' Electronic Trading Group in the Front Office is actively looking for talents to meet the demand. In particular, we are hiring intern level front-office strats for the Electronic Trading Desk. We are seeking a candidate with the potential to build productive business relationships with colleagues and the customers of the SMBC group. The candidate must have a strong interest in a career in capital markets.
This position will closely work with traders and strategists to develop advanced electronic trading tools, system and algorithms to enhance our market-making/ hedging/ execution efficiency.
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $20 and $30. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
- Design, develop & manage algorithmic trading systems to enhance market making, risk management and execution efficiency.
- Design front office tools for improving existing workflows.
Java, JavaScript, Python, Typescript experience is a plus. Network programming experience is a plus. Understanding of middleware messaging system like tibco rv/ ems is a plus. Understanding of object serialization technology is a plus, Understanding of how computer hardware operate is a plus.
