Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly strategic and dynamic leader to join us as the Senior Vice President (SVP) Perioperative and Procedural. This role is central to our mission, offering an outstanding opportunity to drive excellence and innovation across our peri-operative and procedural care continuum.

 

Reporting to the EVP, Hospital President, the SVP serves as a leader with accountability for the strategic leadership and organizational direction of the management team within your portfolio, towards both the achievement of identified goals and objectives, with an emphasis throughout the entire peri-operative and procedural continuum as well as directing and developing the organization of services and programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading all aspects of the peri-operative and procedural operations related to surgical care, to ensure optimal operational workflow, technological support, and financial performance.
• Continuously improving peri-operative and procedural services to meet capacity and regulatory requirements, incorporating the latest technologies, roles, and talent.
• Leading the development and implementation of key programs, service lines, and products in alignment with evolving strategies in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborating with partners across the organization to define and implement strategies and plans that achieve the institution's strategic objectives.
• Advancing the organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Participating at a national level to ensure the adoption of external market trends, innovative tools, practices, and technology by MSK.
• Advising key leadership on identifying and addressing trends and factors that may pose barriers or opportunities.

 

You Have:

• Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within an academic medical center or healthcare institution.
• Extensive knowledge of peri-operative and procedural care operations and management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and lead complex organizational structures.
• Strong financial competence with experience in running operational and cost center financial performance.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholder groups towards common goals.
• Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
• Ability to integrate and leverage technology and innovation in workflows and patient care.

Additional Information:

The SVP will collaborate closely with executive leaders, department chairs, and clinical leaders to execute strategic objectives and address challenges within MSK. Participation at a national level to ensure best practices for areas of oversight is expected.

This is a role that requires flexibility to be onsite at MSK in NYC multiple days per week for stakeholder meetings and collaboration at various sites (1275 York Ave, 633 Third Ave, etc.). We are considering candidates who are open to relocation.

 

Pay Range: $401,656-  $688,365
