SVP, Content Strategy
Summary
The SVP, Content Distribution will work within a small team to identify, develop, and manage content opportunities across all of Aristocrat's global business operations (Land and Digital and RMG). This role's work will include evaluating cross enterprise strategic opportunities, evaluating emerging Land/ Digital/ Ecosystem market opportunities, industry and competitor analysis, and trends analysis that will impact the content planning process. The SVP will have a unique opportunity to drive the future trajectory of a global gaming and technology company while engaging with senior leadership.
What You'll Do
The SVP will partner with the Chief Strategy and Content Distribution Officer to optimize and maximize our content pipeline and spend:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Content Strategy aligned with the organization's goals and target audience. This includes defining content objectives, identifying key themes and messaging, and establishing guidelines for content creation and distribution
  • Identify and establish partnerships and collaborations with external content creators, influencers, and other industries. Leverage these relationships to enhance the organization's content offerings and expand its reach.
  • Develop and enforce content governance policies and procedures to maintain consistency, accuracy, and brand integrity
  • Provide guidance and direction to content/game creation leaders. Review and approve content to ensure it aligns with the organization's brand voice, messaging, and quality standards
  • Prepare and present regular reports on content performance, including key metrics, trends, and insights. Communicate the impact of content initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting successes and recommending improvements
  • Continuously monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement, conversions, and audience reach. Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategies, identify areas for improvement, and drive better results

Additionally works with the Chief Strategy and Content Distribution Officer to:
  • Oversee greenlight process with Chief Project Officers (CPOs) using data driven metrics and ensuring proper KPIs for accountability
  • Work with CFO and CTO and teams to determine proper allocation of content budget - ensuring our pipeline is data driven at the outset and through the greenlight process in order to maximize impact with the existing budget/resources across the company
  • Ensures content aligns with company's brands
  • Explore and execute alternative revenue streams, including IP extensions and new distribution channels
  • Determine windowing strategy across business lines
  • Develop content partnerships and licensing strategy
  • Work with CPOs to determine publishing volume and strategy

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate must have global executive management experience in a technology and/or media business. This individual will have a thorough understanding of the relevant consumer technology and media sectors, including product economics, business cycles, and regulatory environments where relevant. Knowledge of or an affinity for the broader gaming markets is highly desired. International experience is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate decisions on content commercialization across multiple business units and identify opportunities for new and existing brands through new adjacencies.
  • Proven track record of managing content budgets across multiple projects and geographies.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver high quality insights and commercial perspectives.
  • Ability to collate research data, synthesize complex information, make strategic recommendations and create followership.
  • Track record of building long-term trusted relationships with creative community.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and affect change across a geographically and culturally diverse organization.
  • Good teaming skills and ability to work with a diverse team. The ability to work under pressure and with set time scales. Ability to work flexible work hours and travel as required.
  • Outstanding communicator at all levels of the organization - Board, executive, management, team members, peers, and partners.
  • Ability to coordinate and present accurate information in a consistent, organized, and concise fashion.
  • An agile learner with the ability to develop a strong understanding of the gaming and mobile industry, development processes and key technologies.
