Overview
BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Vice President/Senior Vice President and Division Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide direction and oversight over the financial operations of the Long-Term Care and Hospice Pharmacy business lines. This leader will be an integral part to the business' continued growth and will have accountability for accounting, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, strategic planning, and pricing functions. This position will directly report to BrightSpring Health's Enterprise Chief Financial Officer, with a matrixed reporting relationship to the President of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire finance function for the LTC and Hospice Pharmacy business, including pricing model and analyses, forecast, budget, analytics, financial reviews, management reporting, and strategic initiatives, and ensure a tight alignment with operations.
  • Monitor industry trends and partner with the division President and Management Team to develop the business' financial strategy and execute the financial plan in support of the company's objectives
  • Establish, track, and manage the business division's budget
  • Lead revenue and expense accruals, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and closing processes
  • Identify and drive process efficiencies within revenue cycle, and manage cash / accounts receivable / bad debt performance
  • Develop ProForma models for new business opportunities and retention efforts, as well as standard models for payor-specific product mix and trending
  • Take a leadership role in pricing the division's products and services, understand the competitive environment, and identify approaches to analyze and maximize the economics for our business
  • Introduce systems, processes, and procedures to the organization and within the finance functions that will balance overall objectives and financial leadership
  • Design and produce daily/weekly/monthly reporting tools to drive business alignment and actions
  • Oversee the development of new and enhanced management reporting capabilities, including dashboards and other meaningful operating reports
  • Manage outside vendor relationships and contracts
  • Support future merger and acquisition activities through opportunity exploration, due diligence and integration strategies
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training and development, coaching, mentoring and performance management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years progressive finance experience. Five plus years as a division or stand-alone SVP or VP of Finance & Accounting. Experienced in managing in a matrixed environment
  • Deep experience in the healthcare industry. 10+ years of progressive roles in specialty pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management business preferred
  • Experience with pharma manufacturer "hub" services and hospital program (340B) management a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complexity of the pharma trade, pharmacy operations and IT functions
  • Experience in metrics development and implementation to monitor organization performance
  • Proven strengths in building, developing, and retaining high performing finance teams
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, executive presence, and experience in presenting to executive leadership and the Board
  • Unquestioned level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer systems
  • Must be proficient in the review and analysis of financial results
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and modeling skills
  • Strong Microsoft Powerpoint skills, including creating engaging and professional presentations suitable for executive and board-level meetings
  • Broad system experience and expertise, including Oracle Fusion/Cloud financials, and Microsoft Azure and Power BI analytics platforms
