RhizeBio, a startup biotechnology company, is seeking out a passionate and driven Sustainable Agriculture Consultant. This role is pivotal to our outreach and expansion efforts in introducing our biotechnology services to farmers and agronomists. Our aim is to provide our clients with soil testing tools for assessing soil biology and performance that foster improved yield, enhance soil health, and drive sustainable agricultural practices.

Principle duties and responsibilities:

• Visit farms and agricultural sites to gather information, assess current practices, and understand clients’ goals and challenges.
• Analyze data collected from farm visits, research, and other sources to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Conduct field trials and experiments to test new ideas, technologies, and farming practices.
• Interpret DNA analysis results to provide insights into crop/soil genetics and management strategies.
• Make recommendations for implementing new systems, processes, and technologies to increase efficiency and productivity in crop management.
• Maintain familiarity with CRM systems to track client interactions, manage leads, and support sales efforts
• Provide accurate and timely quotes for consulting services, ensuring alignment with client needs and budgetary considerations.
• Utilize Excel proficiently to organize and analyze data
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and resource for agricultural expertise.
• Stay informed about developments in the agricultural sector, including advancements in technology, environmental practices, and industry trends.

Required technical experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Proven experience in agricultural consulting, farm management, or related fields.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
• Familiarity with agricultural practices, genetics, and DNA analysis interpretation.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and report preparation.
• Experience with CRM systems for managing client relationships and sales processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites and attend agricultural events as needed.
• Passion for Sustainable Agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year plus commission
