What you'll be doing day to day

As a Sustainability Specialist, responsible for improving waste & recycling practices for the Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will: Engage and motivate others to accomplish sustainability unit goals, which include environmental, social, and economic, by sharing knowledge, trends, and best practices.
- Act as the designated IKEA representative responsible for processes and audits as needed within the unit.
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external partners as a primary link to the IKEA values and sustainability.
- Liaise with external partners in the community coordinating community activities like volunteering events, donation drives, and overall brand awareness.
- Identify and capture processes and opportunities within the unit to improve local goals and metrics related to social responsibility.
- Retain and measure data associated with unit and country goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in all locations within the fulfilment unit.
- Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
