Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a sushi chef. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring food safety in our catering and dietary department. No experience required - will train. Limited positions for immediate hire, open positions for future hire. Our resturaunt is season based. Hiring and interviews will be held in April 2024, and training/working hours will begin in may-June for future hire positions. Must be 16+ years of age.
Duties:
- Assist with meal preparation, including cutting and chopping ingredients using knives
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operations during meal service
- Support the catering team during events, including setup, serving, and cleanup
