Position Summary

Assists in the gathering of Survey information to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines and areas for construction and mechanicals purposes. This position is deemed ‘safety sensitive’ due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employee’s co-workers, and/or the public at large.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help gather and research previous survey evidence, drawings, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
• May assist in keeping field notes and performing sketches as necessary to describe and certify work performed.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

Should possess good math skills, understand how to read a standard tape measure and have an understanding of basic hand tools (wrench, hammer, level, etc.) Any technical training such as computers, machinist, and/or industrial technology is a plus. Must be willing to travel.

Physical Demands

Must have ability to lift over 50 pounds, possess the ability to work at heights if required, be able to work in extreme environments and be able to adapt to different situations as required. Excellent vision or correctable vision. Requires a large amount of walking on the job site. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
