CMT is seeking a licensed PLS Surveyor Department Manager for their Meridian ID Office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in technician duties and training
- Attend regular training and maintain a PLS license
- Create stakeout construction calculation points; work directly with field crews to fill daily project requirements and needs
- Work with survey coordinator as required
- Work to solve immediate site survey issues and questions from clients that arise.
- Provide bidding and construction oversight (meetings and site visits, answering questions and RFIs, reviewing materials submittals and pay applications, punch lists, and as-builts)
- Exhibit an excellent working relationship with company employees and clients with frequent client interaction
Qualifications/Job Requirements
- AS/BS Degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics
- Complete training and evaluation period (30 to 90 days depending upon prior experience)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in surveying
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation and applying company standards
- Professional understanding of construction surveying and boundary survey maps
- Must be able to complete field survey work independently
- Punctual to work
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor
- Assist in employee hiring, train other surveyors, and provide surveying expertise
