Job Description
Working under the Director of Surveying, the Surveying Project Manager oversees the production department of surveyors and CAD Technicians. They are the point of contact between the surveying department and new or existing clients. The Project Manager assists the Director with scheduling surveying crews, providing quality assurance for deliverables, and coordination with staff, clients, sub-consultants, and government entities.
Responsibilities of Surveying Project Manager (Surveyor, PSM)
1. Consult with existing and potential clients
2. Prepare proposals and contracts
3. Direct office staff, field crews, and surveying technicians as well as coordinate with civil engineering staff to complete multiple, concurrent projects efficiently
4. Conduct deed and plan research and review
5. Prepare weekly survey crew schedules
6. CAD oversight and quality assurance
7. Manage and monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Requirements of Surveying Project Manager (Surveyor, PSM)
1. Florida PSM/PLS Certification
2. Experience in land Surveying Project management
3. Experience with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil3D, and field experience with Trimble Survey field equipment
4. Microsoft Office program proficiency
