Job Description
Duncan-Parnell, one of the Southeast’s leading distributors of technology products and services for the construction, engineering, survey, manufacturing, and design industries, is looking for a Survey Instrument Repair Technician for our Orlando, FL location. The Survey Instrument Repair Technician is responsible for performing a variety of services on customer’s optical and GNSS equipment including diagnostics, testing, repair, calibration, upgrading, and cleaning.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Provide quality service that meets or exceeds our service standards.
- Configuration/testing of products: unpack, calibrate, charge batteries, test basics of system to ensure successful operation by customers.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Create and process service orders for incoming repairs.
- Perform repairs and calibrations on survey and mapping equipment.
- Collaborate with Regional Service Manager to always stay current on updated training/authorizations.
- Ensure work areas are neat and maintained.
- Additional duties as assigned by Regional Service Manager
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge of electronics and/or survey equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in land surveying or in the construction industry preferred
- Occasional travel for training as required
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
Competencies
- Experience and proficiency in Windows 10 Operation Systems
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills to best serve customers
- Personal accountability in the workplace
- Must be able to efficiently multitask and work well under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy
