Job Description
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a motivated Survey Technician looking to advance in the land Survey Field. As a Survey Technician at Angus McDonald / Gary Sharpe & Associates, you will play an important role in various projects, including construction stakeout, boundary and topographic surveys, and right-of-way surveys. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the operation of conventional, robotic, and GPS survey instruments and will also perform tasks such as land record research, CAD base map preparation, and limited office computations.
Some responsibilities of this position include:
Work with the Surveying Crew Chief to collect field data for various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, construction layout, as-builts, ALTA, and utility surveys.
Operate surveying equipment, including GPS, Total Station, levels, and data collectors.
Working with maps, plans, sketches, etc.
Maintain assigned equipment and an orderly work environment.
Experience in Land Surveying is not required*
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- enjoy working out of doors
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
