We are currently seeking Survey Field Internsto join our team in our Harrisburg, Braintree, and Canonsburg office locations. As a Survey Field Intern, you will learn to operate as a Field Technician to include the use of Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial Scans, sUAS (Drone) operations, how to upload and transfer data, field coding, traversing, leveling, GPS control networks, along with the day-to-day operations of a Survey Field Crew.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Survey Crew Chief with all aspects of the daily crew workload.
- Setup Instruments and measuring devices.
- Ensure vehicles are supplied and kept in an orderly fashion.
- Supports field crews in the completion of assigned tasks.
- Upload and download of data for field operations.
Required Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Surveying program
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferredqualifications:
- Experience/familiarity using Trimble and Carlson Survey Equipment.
- Prior internship experience or campus involvement
