We are looking for a Survey Division Leader to join our Springfield, MO team!

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to all survey departments across the company, ensuring alignment with OWN, Inc.'s vision and goals.

  • Develop and implement company-wide survey strategies to enhance service quality, optimize resources, and drive business growth.

  • Collaborate with Survey Department Managers to oversee personnel management, project proposals, and research for field and office work, ensuring consistency and excellence.

  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge surveying software, technologies, and methodologies, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Total Station, and GPS equipment.

  • Cultivate positive client relationships at a strategic level, addressing complex needs and concerns, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service company-wide.

  • Manage and optimize project and department budgets, implementing cost-effective practices and resource allocation strategies.

  • Mentor and provide strategic guidance to department leaders, fostering their professional development and growth.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and implement innovative solutions across the organization.

  • Collaborate closely with the business development team to identify strategic opportunities for the Survey Division's growth.

  • Ensure company-wide compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within survey operations.

  • Oversee the maintenance and archiving of survey records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Missouri.

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in land surveying, with a strong track record of successful strategic leadership.

  • Profound familiarity with surveying software and technologies, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic business development activities, including strategic client management and relationship building.

  • Exceptional strategic management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal team members effectively.

  • Expertise in advanced survey practices, equipment, and methodologies.

  • Strong strategic acumen in determining project requirements, setting priorities, and managing resources.

  • Outstanding strategic time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines and deliver high-quality strategic results.

  • Exceptional strategic communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts and information clearly and concisely.

  • Capability to lead strategic initiatives that drive company growth and innovation.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Extended periods of sitting and working at a desk.

  • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
