Job Duties

Supports the enhancement of public safety in the Commonwealth by assisting with investigating, controlling and supervising adult supervisees in a humane, cost efficient manner consistent with sound community correctional principles and constitutional standards.
This position manages the administration of the District's urine screen program (VACORIS/Shadow Track), the collection and submittal of DNA from those on supervision as well as the collection and submittal of Live-scan finger prints, including the input of data received from new offender group intakes.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Working knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of case management and community resources. Demonstrated ability to conduct effective surveillance activities, conduct interviews and gather pertinent information from a variety of sources and document findings. Demonstrated skill in the use of computer systems including Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to accurately assess situations; to work independently and prioritize assignments.

Additional Considerations

Experience in correctional services or community supervision. Criminal Justice System knowledge. Skill in data entry and information evaluation desired.
