Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Surveillance Inspector (Ammunition) (Direct Hiring Authority) ~ without more than normal supervision.
I have the ability to perform common Surveillance Inspector (Ammunition) duties of inspecting proper loading of ammunition into vehicles to ensure proper storage. I can use a variety of Ammunition Peculiar Equipment to enable safe ammunition operations such as surveillance, maintenance, and preservation of ammunition. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- The Ammunition Certifications IAW AMC-R 350-4: Ammo 45: Introduction to Ammunition
- The Ammunition Certifications IAW AMC-R 350-4: Ammo 62: Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials
- The Military-Owned Demountable Container (MILVAN) Inspection Certification
- PHYSICAL EFFORT: The inspector performs duties that involve frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting items weighing up to approximately 70 pounds and occasionally lifting items in excess of 70 pounds to perform inspection of material and storage areas.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is usually performed inside and outdoors which are concerned with the receipt, storage, issue, demilitarization, disposal, and shipment of ammunition items which results in exposure to adverse weather and to potentially dangerous situations. May be required to wear protective clothing.
