SalaryUnder the close supervision of a professional nurse and/or physician, the Surgical Technologist will perform a variety of duties in the operating room to assist the surgical team such as scrubbing on all types of surgical procedures lifting and positioning patients cleaning instruments restocking supplies etc.
The Surgical Technologist should have:
- Nine to twelve months experience with increasing responsibility preferred in order to be familiar with all surgical procedures performed.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Completion of at least ONE of the following options is required: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, or Graduate of a Surgical Technologist associate degree program, or Current certification as a CST, or Current NCCT-TC (tech in surgery) certification (for applicants with past military experience only; military experience as a Surgical Technologist will be strongly considered), or
- 3 years of experience within the past 5 years as a Surgical Technologist
- Current BLS Certification is required upon hire
