Surgical Tech - Labor And Delivery Room (Pt, Days) Abington-Jefferson

Surgical Tech's are responsible for the following:

• Prepares surgical suites for procedures including room equipment, supplies and furniture.
• Ensures patients are prepared for surgery prior to transport from inpatient and ER units.
• Provides support with positioning of patients in supine, lateral, or other positions.
• Required to scrub in L&D Room Operating Room

The Surgical Tech performs a variety of services and patient care activities related to the medical care of patients who are undergoing surgery, with the goal of supporting the nursing staff in providing quality healthcare to each patient.
Sign on Bonus-Experienced Surg Techs (2+ years' experience): $10k FT, $5k PT, no sign on for PRNs
Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) year of previous hospital perioperative experience required

• BLS certification required
• Surgical Technician Certification required, or to be completed within 6 months of hire

Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
