Surgical Liaison-Ahuja Medical Center-Full Time, Days

Hours M-F 8:00AM-3:30PM

Essential Functions

• Must exhibit competency in working with patients of various age groups to demonstrate the mission, vision and values of UHCMC, as well as facilitate customer satisfaction through interactions with patients, guests, physicians and employees.
• Provide patient and hospital information to the community and other hospital personnel paying close attention the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).
• Provide information via direct contact or by phone.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of available resources and communication tools.
• Maintain awareness, organization, and control of reception desk and surrounding area.

Qualifications
Education

• High School Equivalent / GED Required

Work Experience

• 1+ years experience in a patient care environment Required
• Physician’s office or clinical area Preferred
• Clinical/secretarial experience Required
• Medical terminology Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision Required
• Good oral and written communication skill Required
