Surgery Scheduling Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Surgery Scheduler to join our team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for our patients. Your attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate with patients and medical staff will contribute to the smooth operation of our surgical department.

- Schedule surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained from patients and medical staff
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to schedule surgeries at convenient times
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain any necessary authorizations for surgical procedures
- Communicate pre-operative instructions and requirements to patients
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow within the surgical department
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have

- Proficient in office phone systems and scheduling software
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in a medical or office setting is preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
