Surgery Scheduler

```Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Oral Surgery Scheduler to join our practice. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating referrals with dental offices and scheduling consults and surgical procedures for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that consults and surgeries are scheduled efficiently and effectively, while providing an exceptional patient experience. If you have experience in a surgical or dental setting and have previous experience with scheduling and administrative support, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule consults and oral surgery procedures and coordinate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
- Obtain necessary patient information and verify insurance coverage.
- Communicate pre-operative instructions and provide necessary paperwork to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using WINOMS software
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding consults and surgical procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks such as referral management, data entry, and managing patient appointments
- Collaborate with treatment planners and front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical/dental office or healthcare setting is required
- Proficiency in medical scheduling software such as Epic or Eaglesoft is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
