JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for documentation of all qualifying implants throughout all departments. Reconciles documentation of surgical patient charges through post data entry. Serves as liaison/resource person to maintain physician satisfaction with availability and working condition of instrumentation and supplies. Works as a constructive, productive, and positive member of the surgical services management team. Participates collaboratively with all internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service in a financially sound manner. Continually monitors and improves processes with Materials Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech, Central Sterile Technician or other OR related position
Education or Other Job Training related to OR materials and equipment management
Satisfactory work experience demonstrating leadership ability and willingness to accept responsibility
Able to handle high stress situations in a professional and compassionate manner
Able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
Must have exceptional critical thinking skills
Must be able to coordinate, participate in, or supervise multiple projects successfully
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing
Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel
Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses, to read and write
Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone
Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately observe, monitor, and administer care
