What You’ll Work On
The role will be focused on creating and building offline setup for the SMT line. You will use specialize in creating and understanding of the offline setup processes and working with the SMT team. You will setup jobs at an efficient rate and then help on the SMT line to setup and run equipment as needed. The Surface MountMachine Operator is required to work efficiently and productively on their own and in group situations where individuals have common production goals. This position requires training on multiple production machines and processes which enable the operator to be reassigned according to demand. Both individual and group performance is monitored, measured and reported including measures for quality workmanship and process efficiency.
You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks

- Build products according to standardized production processes.
- Maintain product quality while adhering to production requirements and schedules.
- Understand and apply process efficiencies while striving to improve individual and group production and performance.
- Apply technical processes associated with operating Surface Mount equipment.
- Observe proper safety rules and regulations pertaining to equipment being operated.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Rework or replace non-conforming Surface Mount components using appropriate rework tools.
What We're Looking For
- High School Graduate, or GED Certificate Required.
- 2-4 years electronics manufacturing experience.
- Must meet all Surface MountMachine Operator I requirements.
- IPC 610 and 7711/7721 certified.
- Comfortable with basic mathematics, computer usage, and aptitude for learning software specific applications.
- Working knowledge and skills in general electronic assembly.
- Ability to use all necessary tools in M3 and on the dashboard.
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Perform all tasks pertaining to the Surface Mount lines:
- Printer
- MyData (including performing setups)
- AOI
- X-ray
- Wash
- Rework equipment
- Machine Maintenance
- Ability to access, read, and execute detailed instructions and technical documents written in the English language.
- Communicate clearly in the English language.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
- Able to accept constructive coaching pertaining to performance and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ability to under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines without compromising quality.
Work Environment
Typical light manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 lbs. of equipment over short distances as needed. .
