Form of workThis is a Full time day shift position working as a Bench supervisor for Sahuarita Hospital Lab. Will work a bench as generalist in chemistry, hematology and blood bank in addition to supervising day to day lab operations.
Job Summary:
Provides day to day technical supervision of the hospital laboratory which performs testing or procedures. Accessible to testing personnel for resolution of technical problems in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Laboratory Director or Medical Director. Organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory. Responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting lab results. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks as assigned by manager or director.
Requirements:
Requires Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science or Bachelor of Science in chemistry, biology or microbiology with 2 years full time clinical laboratory experience. Familiarity concepts, practices, and procedures of clinical laboratory medicine is expected.
