Coordinates and supervises the operational and managerial aspects of specialty areas in the Imaging Center elements which consist of CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography. Maintains respective departments in compliance with inspecting agencies. Ensures efficient performance of patient exams and supervises technical and support staff, in all department elements. Collaborates with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Directors and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services in achievement of departmental goals.
Required Skills:
1. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department''s goals.
4. Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures.
5. Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Eight years of experience in Imaging procedures such as Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI or Ultrasound required.
Two years of Lead/Supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist required.
ARRT Radiography required for performance ionizing Radiation procedures.
ARRT (R) required or ARRT in one of the following (BD), (M), (CT), (S), (QM), (N) or
ARDMS (SPI) and any four of ABD/GYN, RVT, BR, FE, MSK, OR TCD required.
CPR certified
Education and Training:
Highly trained in minimum of two specialty areas of Diagnostic Imaging ie; Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CAT Scan, MRI, or Ultrasound required.
Associates of Applied Sciences in Radiology or Ultrasound required.
