JOB TITLE:   

Supervisor, Athletics Operator/Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for supervising the cleaning activities of the night time facilities staff for the Athletic Department facilities. Supervise, schedule, train, direct, inspect and evaluate activities and operations of custodial employees. 

Please note that this is a night crew position and the hours are from 3:00 p.m. - Midnight. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the daily activities of full and part time employees to ensure assigned areas are being properly cleaned and maintained
  • Makes hiring recommendations, trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates full and part time facilities staff
  • Orders custodial supplies, maintains inventory, and purchases custodial equipment
  • Ensures all athletic facilities are properly secured/locked at the end of the shift
  • Assists in setups for special events
  • Communicate maintenance related issues with supervisor
  • Determines personnel needs to complete special or emergency projects 
  • Work all home football games and special events as requested by supervisor
  • Works as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment. Maintains and protects confidentiality of appropriate Athletic Department information and records.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. 
  • Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • May perform duties of support staff, as required.
  • May provide budget recommendations for equipment and maintenance needs.
  • May perform pesticide applications.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:  4 years work-related field

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
