Job Description

The Suppressions & Audience Generation Risk Officer owns and oversees the Enterprise suppressions framework which governs the application of suppressions and ensures compliance with business rules, regulatory requirements, and privacy laws for marketing audience creation.

Residing within the Administration Office Chief Risk Office (CRO), this role will define, develop, and implement the framework for suppressions oversight and change management, establish reporting and metric monitoring, and create scalable processes for consistent use of suppressions across the Enterprise. The role will promote speed to market of audience creation and audience maximization by driving collaboration across marketing and analytics functions, business line product teams, technical systems owners, CRO and compliance and legal partners.

The role will require an expert knowledge of applicable consumer compliance and privacy rules and regulations, collaboration across business areas to influence change, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to make risk-based decisions autonomously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building on existing risk activities to define, develop and implement a governance framework for suppressions management, including change management and on-going monitoring
  • Overseeing the creation and implementation of processes, and procedures for suppressions management and audience creation, including internal controls and control documentation
  • Assessing impacts in changes to policy and regulatory requirements to the underlying business rules for suppressions and audience creation
  • Developing and managing metrics to measure consistency in suppression application and evaluate the impact to the marketable population
  • Consulting with product owners and technical teams to translate regulatory requirements into business rules
  • Enabling speed to market of marketing campaigns by providing clear and concise guidance on suppression-related inquiries and effectively managing operational, compliance and reputational risk for communications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of consumer privacy laws and regulatory requirements governing marketing and communications
  • Experience working within marketing operations or supporting the execution of marketing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to credibly challenge processes and make decisions autonomously
  • Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people
  • Experience with process documentation and risk and control identification
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others outside of core management chain to drive results
  • Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals
  • Strong knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $123,165.00 - $144,900.00 - $159,390.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
