Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Full-timeSupported Employment Associate! Supported Employment Associates serve as the program manager for participants assigned to a caseload. This includes job coaching and/or arranging for job coaching, orienting clients to the host employer's policies, standards, and procedures, and soliciting feedback from employers on job coaching assessment and participant fit for the job. This provides the opportunity to maintain positive relationships with employers and funders, aiding employers with identifying and creating job accommodations and assistive devices as needed. There are important data entry and reporting requirements, and this position will develop Individual Service Plans and progress reports, maintaining accuracy and up-to-date case file information.

The schedule will mainly be Monday-Friday day hours, but candidates will need availability in the evening depending on participant needs and availability one weekend day every other weekend. Travel between job sites is required.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of full-time employment in a related field is required.
  • Post-secondary education may be substituted for one year of required employment.
  • The Supported Employment Associate will need a reliable vehicle, valid Iowa driver's license, proof of required auto insurance, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, sex offender registry, and criminal background checks.
