Job Description
Currently hiring for FT, PT and PRN positions on all 3 shifts.
Compassion, urgency, tact and confidentiality are required.
The function of the Support Service Staff is to provide life-skill support assistance to our residents; keeping in mind we are an assisted living facility.
Taking meal orders and delivering meals at mealtime to residents that have requested room service.
Documenting calls and services to residents in the communication book.
Assisting with bathing and minimal dressing assistance.
Doing routine checks on residents that have requested the procedure.
Checking doors and lights periodically. Locking & unlocking doors at designated times.
Picking up trash for residents, common areas, and bathrooms. (2nd Shift)
Answering the phone when no one is in the office. always Carrying the cordless phone after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends.
Checking thermostats daily for correct temperature. (68 – 75 degrees)
Helping with self-administration of medications for residents who have requested the procedure.
Signing the medication book when the reminders are performed.
Responding to call lights in condominiums and McCready Manor.
Accompanying residents from their rooms to the dining room.
Employees are required to be always awake during their shift.
All duties will be explained, as to procedures and times by the Director of Support Service.
It is imperative that confidentiality be always maintained by all staff. No resident names are to be used in public discussion with outside parties.
Employees must meet all corporate general employment requirements.
