Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support and may lead a commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit. Build and develop a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services. Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process. Coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during the early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (PDP). Facilitate the quality planning activities with suppliers.

Duties:

• Support and lead multiple commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for Davenport works.
• Build and develop a supply base for sourcing complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services.
• Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process.
• Coordinate, lead, and communicate with teams involved in each project they are working on and complete new workflow items on time to keep each project on track.
• Investigate availability of suppliers and materials in the marketplace; implement enterprise/division sourcing strategies and integrates suppliers in supporting the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP).
• Lead and/or participate on multi-functional teams responsible for make vs. buy decisions, resourcing activities, and developing and implementing sourcing strategies; support The Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; obtains assistance from other functional representatives as appropriate; may negotiate with suppliers in order to resolve short-term performance problems.
• Support negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy, and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company meets its overall goals for cost, quality, continuity of supply, etc.

Requirements:

• Supply management experience
• Project management experience.
• Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• 1-3 years experience, open to recent college graduates.

Preferred Skills:

• University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
