Your Responsibilities
As a Supply Management Specialist - Continuous Improvement (CI) for Precision Upgrades in Mount Joy - Davenport, IA, you will...
- Perform sourcing, Continuous Improvement and cost reduction opportunities including development and execution/enforcement of strategies and contracts for all commodities and components.
- Lead the negotiation of cost reduction with specific suppliers, ensuring the unit and product lines meet the overall cost goals while also meeting the goals for quality and continuity of supply.
- Manage projects for the product lines to ensure they are executed in the needed timeline for unit and product lines cost goals.
- Create and assist with cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, other data analyses, lead the negotiation of cost reduction projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members on cost reduction projects, Ideate for cost reduction through leading ideation events, supplier requests for quotes (RFQs), collaboration with Product Engineering and other cross-functional members.
- Work with engineers and suppliers on product specification, making recommendations to ensure a quality product at the lowest total cost and meeting cost targets; support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner.

What Skills You Need
- 2 or more years of project management experience with demonstrated success in interpersonal communications, negotiation and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, influence without authority and execute cross-functionally
- Experience with the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process and C-Projects and Order Fulfillment Process
- Experience working proactively in a self-guided environment with the ability to seek out additional responsibility
What Makes You Stand Out
- Understanding of the commodities, processes, and supply base
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional team members
- Knowledge of unit processes and operations
- Knowledge of Quote Form Analysis and Should-Costing Principles
- Knowledge of Cost Reduction Management Application, Achieving Excellence, Supplier Rating System, SAP, and other Supply Management systems
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, or Accounting/Finance
