Michelin is hiring! We are looking for a supply chain and logistics professional with a passion for modeling systems to join our company and be a key player of our engineering team!
THE OPPORTUNITY
Michelin has an immediate opening for a Modeling Specialist with experience in supply chain / logistics to be a part of our select network of engineers.
Responsible for the development of network models to support data-based decision making to balance cost, inventory, service, and CO2 emissions considering the full end-to-end SC/LOG process. As the SC/LOG Modeling Specialist, you will be the modeling tool expert responsible for ensuring that the right tool is being used in the right way to answer business needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build both small and large-scale distribution network models, including but not limited to: logistics network, transportation, inventory, cost, CO2 emissions, and warehousing.
Serve as the modeling tool expert in model development process.
Work cross-functionally throughout model creation/validation.
Use models to support business needs from operational through strategic horizons.
Quickly develop significant expertise in a variety of tools and data sets.
Use models both to address specific business questions as well as for independent data exploration to find optimization opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor's degree required - preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience building large-scale network models (with Llamasoft, Optilogic, or similar modeling tool) is required.
• Operational Supply Chain/Logistics experience a plus.
• Ability to work with large/complex data sets, prep data for modeling, and ensure quality of data (experience with databases/SQL and Alteryx or similar is required).
• Ability to visualize modeling output to support clear communication and understanding of recommendations (experience with PowerBI is desired).
• Ability to quickly learn a variety of tools and data sets.
• Ability to work multi-functionally in a professional and collaborative manner.
• Ability and drive to work independently on unguided data exploration to find optimization opportunities.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
