Position Overview:

The primary function of the Supply Planner is to effectively manage the material planning and purchasing activities associated with the assigned SKU’s across all sites and divisions that use the materials. This position is directly responsible for the inventory turns, inventory levels and stock outs resulting in customer backorders for the assigned SKU’s in addition to routine reporting, data analysis and development of network relationships. This is an end-to-end planning role and the individual would be responsible for procuring materials from the vendor and distributing across the network to ensure customer on-time delivery. A day in the life would entail: review material shortages/risks and mitigate accordingly, convert purchase requisitions, short/mid/long-term planning to ensure material availability, and inventory optimization - ensuring that we have the right inventory mix to support the business

What you'll do

  • Meet or Exceed Inventory goals as set by the centralized directive for the categories that are being planned.
  • Safety Stock Levels at each site. This should be reviewed on a quarterly basis for accuracy.
  • Delivery Lead Times (DLT) at the material Master and the Purchasing Info Record (PIR) level.
  • Maintain all other planning master data that drives inventory and planning decisions.
  • Create Stock Transfer Orders to balance the network against demand.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing locations on capacity, constraints, and stocking availability.
  • Responsible for the quarterly review of master data and forecast detail to ensure safe use of ME59N.
  • Provide detailed data on inventory turns, levels, backorders and slow moving/obsolete inventories. Assists in the development, maintenance and reporting of materials metrics.
  • Use all available SAP reporting capabilities to analyze materials data for the purpose of developing analytical tools that enhance turns performance and minimize stock outs.
  • Responsible to resolve supplier and fabrication plant issues in a timely manner. This position is in direct line for issue escalation.

Who you are

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (emphasis on Supply Chain)
  • Supply chain experience (2-3 years)
  • Planning skills (2-3 years)
  • Experience with network or enterprise planning
  • MRP/ERP experience (SAP Preferred)
  • SAP (SE9) & IBP experience
  • Resiliency - maintains effectiveness and a positive attitude in the face of setbacks
  • Problem Solving / Strategic skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
