Evening Shift: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Supply Chain Lead at Ditch Witch:
The primary role is to ensure employees are assigned to and execute the necessary processes and functions that support the current corporate priorities of material handling policies. He/she is also responsible for protecting throughput, providing cross-training and encourage idea generation. He/she will provide direct leadership to assigned employees and provide positive reinforcement to ensure continuous employee growth opportunities. He/she will lead multi-functional teams. He/she will set the example for productivity, quality of work and be supportive of the Supervisor in managing budgeted costs. He/she also performs other duties as assigned.

What Will You Do?

  • Utilize all SAP transactions and tools to monitor throughput and productivity of employees to insure timely fulfillment of orders to customers and production.

  • Provide necessary training and leadership to assigned employees to ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain a high level of communication with Operations Supervisor and co-workers.

  • Provide performance evaluations for assigned employees. This includes: observing and noting behavior; measuring performance; giving feedback and guidance on team members development goals.

  • Ensure safe work procedures are followed.

  • Encourage productivity, quality, good attendance, departmental cleanliness, cooperation, and good work habits. This includes providing a good example of appropriate work behavior.

  • Demonstrate typical expectations for leadership, maintain a positive attitude, professional in appearance and dress, creativity, productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.

  • Identify and provide for employee training needed to support productivity in their area.

  • Enthusiastically supports the meaningful targets provided daily by the Operations Supervisor for what team members do in their daily work.

  • To help provide the investigation and implementation of approved ideas from team members.

  • To ensure that Standard Work has been created for their area.

  • Through behavior and communication maintain positive relationships with customers, clients, supervisor, and co-workers.

  • Supports Operations Supervisor in helping to manage budgeted costs (Tool Crib charges).

What Will You Need?

  • Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record.

  • Demonstrate ability to learn Supply Chain Management, which includes Sales Order, Customer Service, and Warehouse Processes, along with Materials Handling Methodologies.

  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to learn and apply the technical aspects of this position. This could be indicated by:

  • Appropriate warehouse and shipping experience accompanied with proven continuous learning and improvement.

  • A high school diploma (or the equivalent) or relevant production order and warehousing experience.

  • An understanding of business concepts gained through the completion of a business related degree or the equivalent.

  • Exhibit enthusiasm and support for continuous improvement at CMW.

  • Demonstrate appropriate Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (in person, by telephone, and in writing).

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills including a professional, self-confident image.

  • Have a good work record of self-motivation, judgment, productivity, and safety.

  • Be willing to work additional overtime as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature and humidity, noise, and dirt).

  • Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery.

  • Works with hazardous materials such as oils, grease, paint, solvents, coolant, pressurized gases, various acids and caustics, cleaners, and metals.

  • A variable work schedule, with hours that vary according to the needs of the job.

  • Rapidly changing workloads and priorities, multiple requests from numerous individuals and departments, and conflicting deadlines.

  • Workdays of up to 12 hours. Extra shifts on Saturdays are fairly common.

  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds repetitively on occasion.
