DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Supply Chain department provides many services to our multi-hospital organization and clinics. Our services include procurement, sourcing, value analysis, contracting, inventory management, distribution, courier services, mail services, sterile inventory, code cart management and O2 cylinder exchanges. Our team works in partnership with clinical and business teams to deliver high quality products and services at the best possible cost.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Supply Chain Lead is responsible oversight of inventory accuracy in assigned location(s), continuous training of caregivers, and contribution to standard work. Provides accurate and timely handling of medical supplies and materials to assure clinical teams have all supplies necessary for patient care. Responsible for managing implant inventories, managing highly regulated human tissues with accurate tracking, coordination of vendor relationships for PeriOp specialty supplies for surgical cases, and vendor management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Responsible for oversight of inventory accuracy in assigned location(s),

Responsible for daily physical inventory assessment to assure orders are generated correctly and prevent stock outs.

Responsible for efficient storage and handling, maintains labels in these locations, stocks supplies in an organized and professional manner and always rotates product.

Assists leadership with department process improvements and helps create and update policies and procedures.

Coordinates workflow, monitors productivity and quality within the designated area(s).

Works with stakeholders to enhance efficiencies and customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.

Provide reporting on supply utilization, ordering trends and standardization.

Coordinates the cycle count process.

Process returns and recall management.

Seek savings opportunities through standardization and inventory control practices.

Maintain productive relationships with buyers for purchases, returns and item backorder information.

Coordinate meetings and work on projects as assigned.

Maintain files (paper and computer) and quality manuals, as assigned.

Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.

Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma or GED.

Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required: N/A.

Preferred: N/A.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Three (3) years of increasing responsibility in Supply Chain. Two (2) years' experience in healthcare Supply Chain or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.

Preferred: Previous healthcare purchasing experience. Two (2) years acting as a lead or supervisor in a healthcare setting.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-10 pounds, grasping/squeezing, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level. Frequently (50%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 11-25 pounds. Occasionally (25%): climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by area), lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, ability to hear whispered speech level. Rarely (10%): Sitting, climbing stairs, keyboard operation and operation of a motor vehicle. Exposure to Elemental Factors Occasionally (25%): Heat, cold, wet/slippery area, noise, dust, vibration, uneven surface and chemical solution. Blood-Borne Pathogen (BBP) Exposure Category Risk for Exposure to BBP
