Supply Chain Intern (Summer 2024, Chandler)

The PSEMC internship program provides an opportunity to work on real projects with real impact on space exploration, homeland security and the nation’s defense.

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will work closely with the Supply Chain team to partner on projects to ensure supply continuity, business & government reporting and Supply Chain optimization.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Interact with cross functional team in fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Drive actions to ensure material availability that will support the manufacturing schedule.
• Support team with coordination and planning of manufacturing cells.
• Assist in the management of purchase orders and manufacturing work orders.
• Support procurement activities through management and tracking of RFQs.
• Review, organize, and enhance documentation methods of vendor information.
• Participate in kaizen event to drive process improvement within the Supply Chain.
• Analyze inventory data to create action plan to improve inventory turns.
• Manage existing data sets and create new data models to review and track spend category data and supplier metrics.
• Learn and utilize lean manufacturing toolset to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain communications interface with internal and external customers through written and verbal means.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics or Engineering.

Must be 18 years of age.
