The role:
The Supply Chain Intern on the External Manufacturing team will be a key member of the department, assisting Senior Analyst and Management level personnel with tasks related to Alani's RTD, RTE and Sports Nutrition external manufacturing/production operations. A role on the external manufacturing team offers exposure to a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial spirited environment, as well as the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end process of contract manufacturing and Supply Chain coordination.

The role:

The EM Supply Chain Analyst intern will have the opportunity to:
- Build and grow upon strong organization skills.
- Develop robust cross functional relationship building skills in both internal and external organizational settings. With responsibilities not limited to those outlined below.
- This role will also have the chance to present their own ideas and identify opportunities for process improvement and/or automation of processes related to external manufacturing and product quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist EM team with drafting and tracking purchase orders for raw materials and production.
- Create/manage production schedules and trackers across entire EM division/Congo brand portfolio.
- Collaborate internally with logistics team in facilitating and tracking raw material transfers from vendors/3PLs to various co packing locations as needed.
- Organizing and track raw materials inventory domestically and globally across 3PL's and Manufacturing locations.
- Help liaise with internal creative team and external stakeholders regarding matters of packaging graphic updates, graphic version history, etc.
- Aid in strategic procurement decision making process by creating cost tracking mechanisms and performing comparative analyses on finished good cost components (COGS).
- Actively contribute to weekly team meetings by preparing/revising discussion materials and presenting updates on any designated tasks.
- Other duties as required.
- Candidates MUST be able to start the Internship ASAP on a regular work schedule
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Organizational Leadership, Business, or other related fields.
- Cumulative GPA >=3.00
- Motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency in completing daily/weekly tasks.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Willing to explore all sides of External Manufacturing (i.e. Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory Management, Raw Materials/production planning, Project Management).
- Eagerness to learn, innovate, and present ideas/recommendations to a team.
- Has a demonstrated passion that aligns with the core values of Alani Nu.
- Prior Co-op/Intern experience at a CPG company or other related industry a plus.
- Experience with NetSuite/ERP software a plus.
