This Co-Op will take place from May 2024 through December 2024. Ideally this student would be available to work full-time during the summer (onsite in Duluth, MN), and part-time during the Fall semester (remotely or onsite).
The Supply Chain Data & Analytics Team (SCDA) is an internal initiative designed to foster data-driven decision making throughout all facets of Cirrus' Supply Chain Organization. The SCDA Co-Op will play an integral role in getting the appropriate resources, processes, and systems in place for the SCDA to adequately support Supply Chain with the right data, to the right individuals, and at the right time. The Co-op position will help set in place the appropriate infrastructure, organization, tools, and methodologies to advance Cirrus's Supply Chain to a best-in-class, data-driven organization.
The ideal candidate will have coursework or project experience mining, manipulating, and modeling data sets in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, & Microsoft PowerPoint. A truly exemplary candidate will have experience in such data platforms as MS Power Automate, MS Power Apps, SQL, R, Python and/or other data manipulation/modeling applications.
The candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as they will be working with business stakeholders and senior managers to create, modify, and troubleshoot reports and automate business processes.
Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Gathers, manipulates, analyzes, and translates data from multiple sources

  • Create and develop Power BI visuals and logical data models as required
  • Create standard operating procedures for processes and report outs

  • Analyze, document and maintain business process models; including current state and future state business and systems processes

  • Propose innovative solutions and/or enhancements to tools to meet the needs of the stakeholders - drive efficiencies through automation of repetitive/menial tasks

  • Brings forward ideas from self or group on next steps for continued progress for better business systems
  • Work independently and have self-initiative - ability to communicate findings effectively to cross-functional stakeholders, leadership, and large audiences

  • Collaborate with other project teams on a consistent basis to maintain cohesiveness and make progress on SCDA initiatives
  • Learn and understand the different software products used by the company to know how the data interacts and to find solutions for reporting
  • Coordinates communication and training in the implementation process

  • Ensure tools/reporting meet the needs of the business through user acceptance testing
  • Facilitate project and administrative meetings
  • Other duties as required or assigned

  • In pursuit of bachelor's degree or recent graduate - area of focus in one or more of the following areas: Data Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, or Information Technology
  • Experience with data, analysis and/or business applications related work
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and aptitude for learning new systems, new processes and open to new ways of doing work
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software such as MS Power Platform, SQL, Python, R, C++, Java (preferred)

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to complete entire duration of co-op.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of co-op.
