The Halstead division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to serve as a liaison between HMTX and American Flooring company, a fast paced, quickly growing team in Pittston, PA. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role coordinates day-to-day transactions and maintains documentation of HMTX Supply Chain operations. Handles data entry of information into the HNE system to generate daily reports. Maintains logs and records of required documentation. Interacts with internal (HMTX) and external (AFL) customers to respond to requests and questions. Must escalate more complex issues to Supply Chain operational team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the transfer of product between American Flooring and HNE’s (Halstead New England) York distribution facility.
- Import documentation and reports on POD’s (proof of deliveries) for movement of product from AFL to HNE supply channels.
- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Collaborates with cross-functional departments which includes customer service, transport carriers, facilities management, and deployment while maintaining the proper professional approach in all interactions (face to face, phone, email, meeting, etc).
- Promptly and accurately update all HNE systems with needed data from manufacturing to distribution.
- Monitor and optimize the shipping process to meet customer and ship-on-time targets.
- This position will interact with management team to help determine and implement “best practice” solutions as it relates to the shipment of our finished product to increase our efficiencies.
- Review SOP’s pertaining to domestic shipments.
- Assist with managing shipping reports with each tower in HMTX and customers like HD, HDC, and HDP.
- Work together with trade compliance specialist on all regulatory issues.
- Ability to use Transportation Management System (TMS) for managing our largest customer purchase orders.
- Work closely with planning\scheduling\manufacturing\U.S. Purchasing Team regarding Priority batches and timing to avoid additional freight charges.
- Will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to freight planning, consolidation, logistical cost management and routing of finished product.
- Download purchase orders from our import management system and deliver them to the manufacturer.
- Update import management system to show which purchase orders have been delivered.
- Update manufacturing lead times and shipping information in import management system.
- Other related duties within this scope of work.
Knowledge & Experience:

- Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain management, business administration, marketing, or at least 3 years of relatable experience.
- Work schedule is generally Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST; evening and weekend meetings or conference calls or work input due to the nature of the global role and subject to business needs.
- Medium level of physical activity (walking, lifting, standing) is required for this job.
