Job Title:Supply Chain Associate
Department: Procurement
Location: Williams and Grants Pass, Oregon
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Summary: The Supply Chain Associate plays an essential role in Herb Pharm’s front-line Supply Chain. This role is responsible for planning, material management, purchasing, and logistics coordination. This position provides significant experience in many Supply Chain functions and the opportunity to develop skills in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Executing defined tasks in alignment with Supply Chain strategy.
- Support procurement team in maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Communicate and report to stakeholders and internal collaborators as directed by Supply Chain leaders.
- Monitor up-stream demand signals and attend to inventory implications and reporting to Supply Chain leaders.
- Responsible for material requirement plan (MRP) for assigned items.
- Monitor sample tracking and report on issues with sampling process to buyers.
- Create Purchase Orders aligned with requisitions from buyers.
- Monitor status of open orders, report on status, and expedite as requested.
- Coordinates with buyers to assist with logistics for shipments and deliveries.
- Develop or maintain operational and financial reports, analytics, and metrics.
- Align demand with sourcing activities.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 + years related experience and/or training
- Demonstrated of experience with purchasing and inventory management
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, MRP programs, and good practices for Supply Planning
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in Office365, fluent in Excel
- Experience with database management, presentation development and word processing software

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of current trends, practices and developments in the profession.
- Understand business systems, such as enterprise resources planning and material requirements planning.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent research and troubleshooting skills.
- Assist with efficient team operation and continuous process improvement, by participating actively in all team and departmental meetings as requested.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects to completion.
- Well organized, with the ability to set priorities and meet reasonable deadlines.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect research data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to handle complex telephone communications and/or Team-centered work situations; well-developed questioning, listening, and strong negotiating skills. Ability to deal professionally with unhappy or unpleasant vendors or customers, resolving most problems and conflicts with a win-win approach.
