POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to identify project demand against current supply to determine piping materials needed for purchasing. Materials Technicians also provide technical direction to material management groups in their analysis of data related to lead times, scheduling, inventory, and procurement of parts and materials

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Perform Material Take-Offs (MTO) by analyzing isometric drawings to determine material needed for production. Create requisitions for material to be purchased.
- Analyze client job specification packages to ensure all material requisitioned meets job requirements and specifications.
- Process and upload pipe spool Bill of Material (BOM) into the materials management system for material reservation.
- Perform various checks on MTO and BOM uploads to ensure conformance to client and specifications.
- Evaluate supply and demand utilizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to determine shortages and requisition material as needed.
- Analyze material shortage reports to release work orders for production.
- Document control and filing.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Construction Management, Supply Chain Preferred.
Experience: 0-1 year of relevant work experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite. Must be able to type efficiently
