The Supplier Quality Engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Sourcing on all activities required to effectively manage Supplier Quality requirements & supplier development.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• The Focal point for Supplier Quality related activities for the supplier base supporting the IET, Bently Nevada Business unit.
• Executing Supplier Quality activities including issue resolution (SCARs), supplier qualifications, supplier surveillance and development, process control, and quality assurance aligned with Global Sourcing quality initiatives.
• Having the technical focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of purchased materials.
• Driving continuous improvement of supplier's quality performance through Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma principles and methodology.
• Monitoring and driving for Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction within the business for supplier related defects.
• Providing technical guidance to suppliers to ensure product/process compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, Bently Nevada quality requirements, and customer flow down requirements.
• Working closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality requirements.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have an engineering degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Have demonstrated project management skills.

• Have solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess the ability to work in cross functional team environment.
• Be highly self-motivated, results/metrics driven with demonstrated influencing skills.
• Have knowledge of quality tools and statistical analysis in ISO9001/AS9100 QMS requirements and applications preferably in Oil & Gas/ Energy Industry/ Aerospace business
• Have proven experience in Engineering with an Electronics/ Machining/ Fabrication background.
• Be a lead auditor qualified through a recognized accreditation body.
• Be Green Belt Certified
