Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Supplier Quality Engineer specializing in Aerospace Electronics to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of components and services sourced from our global supply chain partners.
Responsibilities:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Developing and implementing Supplier Quality evaluation and control systems.
2. Collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintained for all delivered products.
3. Conducting supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
4. Managing and resolving Supplier Quality issues to improve product quality.
5. Evaluating and selecting suppliers in coordination with the procurement team.
6. Overseeing supplier development, test, and production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
7. Reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
8. Managing the supplier performance tracking system, and reporting on supplier performance metrics.
9. Leading quality problem resolutions and incident management, driving root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
10. Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other aerospace industry-specific quality standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Supplier Quality Engineer position should have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
4. Strong understanding of Aerospace Electronics manufacturing processes and technologies.
5. Proven experience in Supplier Quality management and supplier audits.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
8. High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and data analysis software.
9. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) would be an asset.
10. Must be willing to travel as needed for supplier visits and audits.
