Job description

Arkansas Family Supports, Inc. (AFS, Inc.) is a community based, non-profit organization founded December 15, 2015 with corporate offices in Fort Smith, Arkansas. We are licensed in 11 counties throughout Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith area. AFS, Inc. provides the highest quality community-based Waiver Services to support members in achieving greater independence.

We have (1) full-time, Direct Support Professional (DSP) Supervisor position available. This position will join an existing dynamic team of (6) other DSP Supervisors, led, coached and supported by our Program Manager and Program Director. Successful candidates will be provided agency new hire training, one on one peer training and work with a supportive team committed to our Direct Support Professional (DSPs) staff in the delivery of quality services to our members. NOTE: STATED ANNUAL SALARY RANGE INCLUDESA BONUS OF $1,250.00 PAID QUARTERLY, TOTAL BONUS FOR THE YEAR, $5,000.00. Additional Sign on Bonus of $500.00.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a two year or four-year degree in the social/human services field, preferred (social work, sociology, psychology). Candidate MUST have a minimum of two (2) years of VERIFIABLE successful, relevant, supervised experience with supervision/management of an employee team in the human services field. Candidate must pass extensive criminal background checks, motor vehicle record and pre employment drug screen.

This position will report directly to the Program Director and will supervise a team of Direct Support Professional staff (DSPs). Candidates should be focused on team development, providing timely positive feedback to DSPs with overall support of the DSP team and uphold the mission, vision and core values of AFS, Inc. Must internalize that our DSPs are the agency's number one resource. Treat all employees with dignity and respect at all times. Treat all members, family members/guardians with dignity and respect and in a professional manner. Candidates must have ability to exercise good judgement in all personnel matters, hold all DSPs responsible and accountable to their job duties, uphold and communicate the agency's policies to direct reports.

Candidates should be customer service driven and advocate for persons with ID/DD, while internalizing the member's health and safety is our number one priority. Candidates must pass reference checks, criminal background checks, pre-employment drug screen, hold a valid driver's license and have vehicle insurance in their name.
