  • Salary Range: $59,000 – 61,000

  • Job Type: Full-time/Onsite
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm, must have flexibility to work Wednesdays until 8pm.

Who is YouthLink?

YouthLink is a recognized leader in the Twin Cities and beyond for our work to build pathways of opportunity for homeless youth and youth in crisis ages 16 – 24. Our model is based on providing support through outreach, handling basic needs, intervention, and aftercare. Our youth-focused team provides innovative, evidence-based services that guide youth on a holistic level toward futures of education, employment, health and wellness, housing stability and aftercare.

We are looking for a Supervisor in our DropIn to join our team and help us advance our mission. As a Drop In Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily operations of YouthLink’s Drop-In Center, providing leadership and support to ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for the youth we serve. This role coordinates, implements, monitors, reports metrics and problem-solves a range of specific operational responsibilities in the Drop-In, working in support of the Youth Services Director, and sets a positive tone to make sure youth centered and mission-driven services and activities are implemented in the drop-in. At this time YouthLink does not offer relocation or US work visa sponsorship.

Required Experience for consideration for position:

  • 3 years of experience in direct services at a supervisory level, including proficiency in case management.
  • 3 years of experience working with young adults in a Drop In and direct services environment.
  • 3 years working in and managing HMIS systems.
  • 3 years of experience working with young people experiencing homelessness.
  • Hours worked are typically Monday – Friday 8:30-5 with flexibility to work until 8pm Wednesday evenings.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record that is acceptable to the company’s Vehicle Use policy.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Competencies needed to successfully perform the work:

  • Genuine interest in working with and furthering at risk, BIPOC young adults.
  • Strong knowledge of local community resources and services for youth.
  • 3 years working and managing Apricot systems.
  • Understanding of harm reduction philosophy, trauma-informed provision of services and 9 Principles for overcoming youth homelessness.
  • Strong understanding of the issues facing at-risk youth, including those related to homelessness, mental health, and chemical health.
  • Ability to respond to crises and emergencies effectively
  • Experience in budget management and funding processes
  • Ability to prioritize, initiate projects and ideas, and solve problems creatively.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
  • Ability to comfortably collect, confidentially handle, track, analyze and report metrics and other confidential information.
  • Passion, understanding, belief and willingness to consistently incorporate goals, agency principles, vision, mission, and philanthropic objectives into daily work.
  • Strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and ability to utilize handheld application and systems.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Dynamic energy, ability to multi-task multiple demands on attention.
  • Ability to translate positive youth development techniques into practice through your direct reports.
  • Strong coordination, scheduling, and follow-through skills and abilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, from a cultural perspective, of the role that race plays in youth homelessness.
  • Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
