When it comes to what you’ll do as a Supervisor at UCP, here’s what to expect:
- Build and maintain productive and trusting relationships with each participant who receives services.
- Ensure that services are provided in a manner that is conductive to growth, skill development, and improved self-esteem.
- Assist with ensuring the achievement of the overall program objectives, outcomes, and quality improvement.
- Ensure that all the medical needs of the individuals are fulfilled, including scheduling of medical appointments, transportation to and from the appointment, and implementing all follow up recommendations.
- Ensure that all participants have a safe and compliant living environment, monitor the home for routine maintenance, and complete all requirements for repairs and service.
- Design specific and unique goal plans for the development of the participants growths and attainment of living skills. Monitor and adjust plans accordingly.
- Develop and enhance partnerships with participants, staff members, and external stakeholders.
- Implement participant-focused initiatives that enhance the participant experience and support a Servant Leader culture, with a focus on participant satisfaction.
- Apply leadership strategies to maximize participant and employee engagement.
What we’re looking for in a Supervisor at UCP:
Minimum requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- A valid driver’s license and 6 months of previous driving experience
- Access to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate
- 6 months to 2 years of previous Caregiving, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker experience
- Flexible to work all assigned shifts as business needs dictate
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English

Preferred, but not required
- Associate degree or technical certification within a related area
- 2 to 5 years of previous Caregiving, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker experience
- Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and/or the aging population
While performing the duties of this position, a Supervisor at UCP will:
- Continuously express and exchange ideas
- Communicate with others
- Apply visual acuity less than 20 inches, apply visual acuity greater than 20 feet
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, twist, move 1-10 pounds, move 11-50 pounds
- Occasionally move greater than 50 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach above shoulders, work outdoors
- Rarely climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, use a computer, and apply visual depth perception and field of vision (if vehicle driving duties assigned).
