Your ‘day to day’: As a Manager Quality Control you will be part of our Quality Department at Triaga Inc. a fully owned subsidiary of Philip Morris International and will report to the Manager Quality. The position will be based in Wilson, NC. Your Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the activities for analytical lab team within established procedures in order to continuously provide analysis and testing results in an accurate and timely manner as well as to ensure that PMI requirements and ISO standards (including ISO17025) are met. • Ensure that all activities are performed with calibrated instrument and validated methods and in compliance with the Quality System and regulations, producing reliable results. • Lead and or support initiatives and cross-functional projects related to the Quality of products and systems in order to continuously support the innovation and the performance of the manufacturing site. • Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS" • Ensure that Quality Control activities are properly set and followed. • Ensure that critical deviations are solved and define appropriate corrective actions. • Ensure lab measuring equipment qualification and application of validated methods • Ensure that all necessary testing is carried out and the associated records evaluated and retained. • Review/approve CoA, sampling instructions and other Quality Control procedures. • Ensure that non-conformities, out of specifications/trends are investigated in a timely manner. Approve/reject all non-conformities raised to her/his level. • Ensure CAPA and quality improvement opportunities are identified, prioritized and action plans determined in order to support the organization through continuous improvement. Review, approve CAPA of her/his department. • Participate to the creation/review/implementation of procedures, work instructions, techniques, methods and other Quality Documents that are required. Provide support and training by ensuring a transfer of knowledge according to the training management system. Provide a follow up and reporting of projects and milestones. • Manage and develop a motivated and skilled team to ensure performance levels, professional development and achievement of objectives, in respect of PMI Leadership signature. Develop and drive the execution of a skill matrix and training path for each role. • Prepare and seek management approval for department budget based on factory objectives to ensure optimal allocation of resources, adequate funding, and compliance with financial practices. Who we’re looking for: • REQUIRED: Legally authorized to work in the US • REQUIRED: 4 year college degree (science based) or equivalent professional experience • PREFERRED: Masters Degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences • PREFERRED: Professional experience in Quality Control within Tobacco, Food, Pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing industry • Advanced knowledge of ISO • IT skills, with preference towards SAP, Agilent, LIMS • Advanced knowledge of Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and crouch as needed 8/10/12 hours during a shift. • Must be able to bend and lift various weights up to 25lbs if needed during shift.
