As the Shift Supervisor in our Non-Secure Detention Facility, you will be responsible for helping youth achieve their highest potential. This position is responsible for creating a safe, therapeutic and caring environment for youth overseeing the shift operations including the supervision of youth and staff.
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively and in a solution focused manner
Demonstrated knowledge of OCFS non secure detention regulations.
Demonstrated supervision and leadership skills including ability to build and maintain collaborative teams
Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written, including attention to detail
Ability to form therapeutic relationships with youth and families
Essential Job Requirements
Minimum of High School/GED required, Associates degree in related field preferred
2–3 years of experience working with at risk youth in detention/residential facility preferred.
Experience working with at risk youth in detention/residential facility preferred.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and on call hours. .
Current, valid driver's license required
Pay is dependent on education & experience, starting at $20.50 hourly.
