What you will do:
- Administer group safety meetings and shop safety inspections
- Responsible for overall effective leadership and direction of the Maintenance areas
- Responsible for maintaining the technical expertise of the Department employees, monitoring their skill sets and development of training plans
- Influence manpower requirements
- Apply correct management, operations disciplines to maintain the sustainability and reliability of the integrated systems of people, materials and equipment
- Prepare annual operating budgets, capital expenditure requests, and control budget cost
- Evaluate and recommend capital needs for his group
- Evaluate quality standards for area maintenance responsibility
- Direct and coordinate the orderly and efficient operations of Maintenance crews, under supervision of Supervisors while carrying out duties as required by Superintendent and higher management
- Resolve problems relating to or interfering with meeting maintenance schedules
- Analyze and access methods of improving and reducing Maintenance operations costs
- Analyze personnel needs according to production flow and operations conditions
- Communicate daily with department Superintendent department Manager and department engineer to stay abreast of work schedules, planning changes, and critical timing of major projects
- Review and discuss discipline problems with Supervisor
- Evaluate and review performance of assigned Supervisor
- Provide for training of personnel and Supervision and monitor personnel performance
- Communicate and support management goals and objectives to all employees
What you will bring:
- High school education or higher is required.
- 10 years of Industrial Electrical Experience, required.
- 5 years of Supervisory Experience in the Industrial Setting with Direct Reports, required.
- Supervisory Training courses and familiarity basic computer software - i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Supervisory skills and leadership abilities are necessary
- Demonstrated consistent compliance with safety and environmental goals
- A record of team participation
- Strength, and dexterity to personally inspect all areas of his responsibility that may affect employee safety or environmental integrity
