Job description
- Supervises and coordinates Quality Assurance and Compliance with CAP and Joint Commission for the laboratory.
- Supervises regular monitoring of QC and maintenance.
- Assists in development of quality, performance and business metrics.
- Monitors regular linearity testing, calibrations and correlations.
- Notifies Laboratory Director of QA/QC concerns or areas for improvement and works with Director and Medical Director to correct/improve.
- Tracks and assists the Laboratory Director with the corrective and preventative action plans regarding QA/QC issues.
- Assists in writing and maintaining policies and procedure.
- Assists Laboratory Director in developing and administering staff competencies.
- Assists Laboratory Director in assessing staff for annual performance evaluations.
- Assists Laboratory Director as needed to maintain functioning laboratory.
- May work as Medical Technologist.
- Demonstrates support and adherence to the Mission and Values as set forth by Trios Health Hospital.
- Responsible for becoming knowledgeable and compliant with Hospital, Department, Fire/Safety/Disaster, Educational Requirements and Personnel Policies.
- Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program.
- Responsible for maintaining and protecting the confidentiality of all information received.
- Performs department specific competencies satisfactorily.
- All Other duties as assigned.
